New in 2024: The lost trails of Roanoke

Between Beautiful Britain and New Lübeck you’ll find our Roanoke Island. The original place was known as ‘The Lost Colony’ because it vanished almost without a trace shortly after settlers made a second attempt to live there. There was no indication of a fight, and many legends and stories surround the circumstances. However there is one thing we know for sure: Back then the island had no developed walking trails and flat pathways. Instead, there were trails that could either be used or were being created by the settlers. In any case, they presented a challenge to anyone who tried to walk them. Our new Adventure Trail with its many creative elements will give you an idea of the difficulties the early settlers faced.

Obstacle course featuring steep ladders, narrow and dark passages and a hanging bridge. There are a green-marked and a red-marked course. The red-marked course is slightly more difficult. The entire obstacle course, including the hanging bridge, is certified to DIN EN 1176.

Children alone
from 4 years

  • 4 years or older.

  • Children are to be supervised at all times.

  • Using the attraction requires a certain degree of physical fitness and skills. Only fit persons, physically able to meet the attraction's demands are permitted to use it.

  • Use of the attraction with knee or back disorders is not permitted.

  • Use of the attraction if you are made uncomfortable by enclosed spaces or if you fear hights is not permitted.

  • Please keep yout toddlers safe.

  • Use of the attraction with loose or unsuitable footwear is not permitted.

  • No umbrellas, (walking) sticks, sharp or bulky objects.

  • Climbing on the handrails is not permitted.

  • Climbing the attraction is not permitted.

  • Damaging and taking home any part of the decoration is not permitted.

  • No food nor drink.

  • Swinging the suspension bridge on purpose is not permitted.

  • No animals.

  • No smoking.

  • The entire site is monitored by cameras.

  • Please note: As long as you observe all other TÜV safety regulations, it is up to you and your courage what rides you and your children dare get on.
